Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Dararo G1
Peach, Strawberry Jam, Rose
Established in 2018, the Jabanto business collective began with just 29 smallholder coffee farmers hailing from the Gedeo zone. Over time, this group has blossomed, now boasting a membership of 87 registered smallholder coffee farmers.
Dedicated to cultivating a diverse array of coffee types, the group specializes in regional lots, village-level lots, single farmer lots, variety lots, and processing lots.
Of particular note is the Bishari lot, named after a quaint village nestled in the southwestern reaches of Ethiopia. It was here that the initial breeder (starting) seeds were gathered for the development of coffee berry disease-resistant varieties by the skilled breeders at the Jimma Agricultural Research Center (JARC).
